MILPITAS, California – Mar. 8, 2016 – e2v inc today announced it has been granted MIL-PRF-38534 certification by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for the design and manufacture of high-performance hybrid multi-chip modules (MCM) for use in defense related applications. The MIL-PRF-38534 specification establishes quality criteria for the manufacturing of hybrid microcircuits and ensures that the production of these products is consistently reliable and high quality to meet its robust performance standards. e2v was awarded this certification after an extensive audit of the test and quality flows in e2v’s manufacturing facility in Milpitas, CA.
By achieving this specification, e2v now delivers MCM capabilities to its customers for space-critical applications that demand the integration of many functions into a small footprint. MCMs are ideal for complex or high-speed functions that require minimal signal delay, and are needed in a small, lightweight package.
“The attainment of this certification demonstrates e2v’s leadership position in the military and aerospace market,” said Brad Little, general manager of e2v inc. “We continuously seek to deliver an ever broader product portfolio to our customers and the achievement of MIL-PRF-38534 underscores our commitment to provide the highest quality defense products in the market.”
The DLA provides military specifications, standards and test methodologies for electronic components, as well as logistics services for the US Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, US federal agencies and partner nation armed forces.
